FALL PARTY - 2024

This Friday we celebrated our Fall Festival! We had goodies, treats and activities for all of the kids to partake in. They also all came dressed up in their costumes where they showed all of the other classes in a fun little parade. The children had the best time and we really enjoyed seeing all of them enjoy themselves.

4Th of July 2024

When summer rolls around, it means it's time for one of our favorite holidays, the 4th of July! We celebrated as a school with fun patriotic activities and snacks. Each class had a party with crafts and decorations everywhere to celebrate America’s birthday. We're grateful to all our families who provided delicious snacks for our kids. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable 4th of July!

FATHER’S DAY 2024

Each year, we want to ensure that our Blossoms fathers feel loved and supported, not just by their little ones but also by their Blossoms family. We enjoyed some donuts and coffee with dads in the morning. They also received the crafts that the children worked very hard to make. The children enjoyed having some snacks and quality time with their dads before going to class. Happy Father’s Day to all of our Blossoms dads, we are grateful for all of you.

TEACHER APPRECIATION 2024 & MONTESSORI TEACHER GRADUATE 2024

Every year we all come together for a full day to celebrate our teachers and remind them how important they are to us and their students. We take some time to recognize them and talk about how they each have bettered our school and then we enjoy a catered lunch together. We are so thankful for every single one of them and everything that they do. We are grateful that we could all come together and be there to show them how much they mean to us and grow that bond even stronger. Happy Teacher’s Appreciation Day to all of our educators.

GRADUATION 2024

We are so excited to celebrate the Graduation Ceremony for our Kindergarten graduates. Our graduates completed their third year in the Montessori Primary program and worked so hard to achieve all of their goals. The families and staff at Blossoms all came together to honor the students and all of their achievements. The class showed off their talents of singing and dancing while the teachers spoke highly of them and everything that they have done this year. We are so proud of graduates and everyone who participated in the ceremony. We also want to invite everyone to continue through the Montessori to gain all of the knowledge and benefits that the Montessori program holds. There have been many successful people such as Jeff Bezos (founder of Amazon), Larry Page and Sergey Brin (founders of Google), Julia Child (world renowned chef) and Katherine Graham (owner of the Washington post) and many others who have reaped the benefits of Montessori education. We are so excited for our Blossoms graduates and can not wait to see all that they achieve

Family Day 2024

We celebrated Family Day for our primary program. We celebrated all of our families at Blossoms with a beautiful event. The primary students performed for their families songs they have been preparing for weeks. After the performance, everyone was treated to snacks and created beautiful crafts as a family. The children loved having their families in their classes and had such a great time showing what they do every day. It was an amazing experience to see everyone come together to feel celebrated and loved. We are so thankful for all of our Blossoms families.

Mother's Day 2024

Every single year we want to thank and remind all of our BMS mothers how important they are to their children as well as to us. Our toddlers and nidos made crafts the entire week so their moms could see how appreciated they truly are. The children loved having their moms in their classes where they enjoyed snacks and crafts together. It was such a joy to watch the love between the moms and their children. Happy Mother’s Day to all of our Blossoms mothers. ​

SPRING EGG HUNT - 2024

With the weather getting warmer, it can only mean one thing… Spring has sprung. With Spring coming, that also means it is time for our annual Spring Egg Hunt! Our littles ones had the best time outside collecting the eggs and all of the little goodies that our parents provided. Thank you to all of our BMS parents for bringing those in for our students. We are also so thankful for the teachers that decorated and made the day a blast with all of the activities that they planned. ​

St.Patrick's Day 2024

When March comes around, it means St. Patrick’s Day is here. Our children came in their best green outfits and enjoyed all of the green snacks and food that they could find. We were even visited by a leprechaun friend that left goodies for our students. The students learned about Ireland and how they celebrate there. St. Patrick’s Day brought fun for all, we hope everyone had a great day as well.

VALENTINE'S DAY CELEBRATION - 2024

Valentine’s Day filled our school and hearts with so much love. We enjoyed seeing all of our students dressed up in their festive outfits with their goodies to give out. Our children had the best time exchanging cards and gifts to all of their friends and spreading love to everyone. Happy Valentine’s Day from Blossoms.

Lunar New Year 2024

We would like to give a very large thank you to Ms. Sunny for coming to teach us about Chinese culture and the Lunar New Year traditions. Ms. Sunny gave us a very fun and thorough lesson on Chinese and Asian culture. We discussed what Lunar New Year is celebrating, and how it is celebrated. We learned all about the dancing dragons and firecrackers! We learned about the lucky color of Red, and we also discussed what "Year of The Dragon" means. Ms. Sunny shared about how different countries celebrate Lunar New Years in different ways. We learned that Vietnamese traditions are different from Chinese. We learned how Lunar New Year celebrations have evolved through the years. We enjoyed a story about little Amy Wu. Erik's mommy shared with us that every year they read this book at home to prepare for the festivities. During our presentation, we learned about Jade Dogs, Tea Pouring, and we explored the Chinese Zodiac to see what animal we are. Thanks to Ella's mommy for baking us some yummy yummy treats! Ella brought some treats flavored with Panda, a popular Asian sweet. We became fully immersed in Asian Culture today, thanks to our PARENTS who came together to bring cultural awareness to our school. We truly enjoy events like these where our friends can be exposed to new subjects, with help from our very own Blossoms Family. If you would like to present to your child's class about a subject that you are passionate about, please let us know. We would love to do more events like these. 

CHRISTMAS -2023

December is such a fun, fun month at Blossoms! There's always a special magic in the air. Each year at Blossoms we have our annual book exchange. Each one of our friends brought a book to exchange with their friends, and everyone went home with a brand new book to read with their family. Our primary classes also had a big Christmas Concert! They practice for weeks to learn the music and dances so we can put on the best show. We invited all of our parents to come and enjoy the concert as well. Thank you to all of our Parents for joining us and sharing the spirit of the season. 

THANKSGIVING - 2023

Every year our BMS students enjoy a lovely thanksgiving feast with their classmates. All our friends bring different thanksgiving dishes and we all sit around the table and enjoy each others company. We all take turns stirring the punch, setting the table, and learning how to make a salad.  This event helps us practice togetherness and teaches us the value of friends and family. We all enjoy trying new foods as well. Thank you to all our Parents for making us such yummy dishes to share for our Thanksgiving Feast. 

Trunk or Treat / FALL PARTY - 2023

Our little trick-or-treaters had a blast at our BMS Trunk or Treat! Our Primary Teachers worked hard to decorate their trunks for our friends. Our BMS friends all came to school dressed in their costumes and enjoyed going trunk to trunk for treats. Once they got their treats, we had a grand dance party! Our friends then did their Costume Parade, where they marched around our backyard track and showcased their costumes. Thank you to all of our parents for the candy participation, and thank you to our volunteers for helping us keep these events safe and smooth. 

Trip Around The World

First Stop- Asia
​
On Monday we traveled to the culture- rich continent of Asia. While exploring the continent, we learned the names of the 49 countries.

Our tour of the continent focused on Sri Lanka, India and Pakistan. We learned about culture, tradition, clothing and geographical location.

Second stop- Africa

​Tuesday we traveled to the Continent of Africa. While on our visit to Africa we learned the name of all 54 countries.
​
We did a deep dive into Nigerian culture & tradition. The children appreciated the bold shapes & colors in the African textiles.

On Tuesday we also enjoyed getting our bodies moving by participating in Games From Around The World.

The kids enjoyed having snowball fights in Antarctica, and playing pass the water outside.

Next Stop- Europe!
​Wednesday we had a very special visit from Mr. Carlos. Mr. Carlos works with the airlines and shared about what its like working up-close and personal with the airplane on the Tarmac. Our BMS travelers enjoy hearing first hand experience from our parents. Thank you Mr. Carlos!

After learning about airplanes, we strapped our seatbelts and traveled to beautiful Greenland and we caught a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis AKA the Northern Lights. We marveled at the greens & purples before we were off to a land down under........

Next Stop- Australia!!
​Australia, the land down under. What a fun continent to explore, we learn about Kangaroos, the Australian Flag and everyone's new favorite snack Fairy Bread.

While learning about Australia we integrated a very fun culinary lesson in which we made an iconic Australian treat, consisting of white bread, butter, and round sprinkles.

Following our culinary lesson on Australia, Ms. Kate did a beautiful presentation on her home country, Ukraine.

Ms. Kate had so much to share with us, she brought traditional cookware, photos, and even crafted a small scale Ukrainian home. she also demonstrated how to wear some clothing.

We learned that the Blue & Yellow Ukrainian Flag symbolizes the blue sky & the yellow wheat fields. Thank you so much Ms. Kate for sharing about your home.

Final Stop- South America!
​Friday, we traveled somewhere close to home. We traveled to our neighbor South America.

While caravanning around the diverse continent of South America, we learned about Frida Kahlo. We learned about her flower crowns and self portrait. We again appreciated the bright colors in which she painted. Instead of creating a self portrait, we observed a bindle of Bluebonnets and replicated them on our paper with paint & q-tips.

​While we painted, we wore Frida's famous flower crowns and listened to Latin music to get inspired.

Father’s Day 2023

June is always exciting as we have our Father’s Day event to look forward to. This year's theme was Rainforest Cafe! Our Primary classes transformed their montessori classroom into a tropical jungle. We enjoyed painting different jungle creatures and hanging them around the classroom. As usual, our Primary Students worked very hard to choreograph a lovely performance for their Daddies! They also took their time perfecting their Father’s Day crafts and created beautiful gifts for their Daddies. Our toddlers enjoyed having a crafting session with their Dads and socializing over snacks. These events are so special to us and are a great opportunity to meet and network with other members of our Blossoms Family. Happy Father’s Day to all of our hard working Dads!

COMMUNITY HELPER

Our summer program started with a wonderful unit to honor our Community Helpers. During this week we learned about the people who play important roles in our community, like doctors, mailmen, firefighters, police officers, bakers, and hairstylists. We learned that we as a society need all of these important members to function. Children enjoyed learning about each role, and at the end of the week they got to choose what they want to be when they grow up. This year we had an interactive community helper session. Our classes enjoyed hearing from Ms. April, a Sonographer, Mr. Rob, a Construction Man, The Zitzmann Family from the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office, and Mr. Garrett from the Harris County Sheriff's Office. Our toddlers really enjoy seeing these people in “real life.” How exciting it is to try on a police vest, a construction hat, we even got to see what an ultrasound looks like. Thank you to all of our Parent Volunteers who dedicate their time not only in their professions, but also to our youth! What a beautiful example of Community Togetherness we are able to share with our students. ​​

HAWAII FRIDAY 2023

The school year has come and gone, what better way to end the year than with a tropical trip to Hawaii! This year, to kick off our summer program, we took a trip to the islands and enjoyed  a “Hawaii Friday”. All of our little travelers wore their best Luau gear and smiled for a picture in front of our Aloha backdrop. After our summer fun photo session, we all got to try tropical fruits together. The children enjoyed trying pineapple, watermelon, and fresh mixed berries. Our day continued with a little hula dance fun, and we ended our first Fun Friday with popsicles. The perfect way to kick off our Summer of Fun.

GRADUATION 2023

​We are glad to announce Blossoms Montessori School’s very first Graduation Ceremony in which we honored our Kindergarten graduates. Throughout their third and final year in the Montessori Primary Program, our children have exhibited remarkable growth and accomplishments. Our graduation Ceremony was such a treat, and the Primary students worked very hard to get every detail just right. Our parents smiled as the children sang their songs and accepted their certificates. We closed our ceremony with the celebratory hat toss and cake cutting. We take pride in celebrating the achievements of our graduates and we also extend an invitation for all our children to continue their educational journey with us, reaping the full benefits of our Montessori Kindergarten program. We would like our children to be the one that makes a difference in the world. Many renowned individuals, such as Larry Page and Sergey Brin (co-founders of Google), Jeff Bezos (founder of Amazon), Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (former First Lady of the United States), and numerous others who have achieved recognition through their hard work, have attended Montessori schools during their childhood. We extend our heartfelt wishes to our Blossoms Graduates for their continued success.

Mother’s Day Event 2023

Each year we put great preparation into celebrating and honoring all of our BMS Mothers. Our primary children learned a beautiful song to perform, and spent a whole week preparing their beautiful crafts. Our toddlers enjoyed having their Moms in their classroom, where they shared snacks & did craft together. And our NIDO Mothers were invited for snacks, socializing and were able to see how their little ones interact with their friends. Happy Mother’s Day to all of our Blossoms Mothers.

Teacher Appreciation & Staff Development 2023

Welcome To Paradise! Each year we take a full day to personally honor and recognize each of our Teachers and show them just how much they mean to us. Our day begins with an interactive sharing session where all of our Teachers collaborate and present a classroom lesson. We all learn from each other different techniques that bring success to our Montessori environment. We then take a moment to honor each Teacher and have a catered lunch together. This years Staff Development session ended with a very special training from Ms. Pamela Green. We are so pleased to have the opportunity to give our teachers this special day to bond and learn together. Happy Teacher Appreciation to all of our Educators.

SPRING EGG HUNT - 2023

Spring has Sprung, and all of our BMS Angels know what that means..... Our annual Spring Egg Hunt! Seeing our little chickies and bunnies collect eggs brings pure joy to our hearts. This year we didn't let the rain stop us! We had tons of fun indoors. Thank you to all of our BMS Staff for planning such a wonderful day full of activities. And thank you to all of our BMS Parents who help us  make these events possible.

IN-HOUSE FIELD TRIP 2023-Dental Visit ​

To expand on our teeth unit, we enjoyed a visit from one of our very own BMS Parents who is a dentist. Dr. Tanya Flesher came to share about dental hygiene and healthy eating habits. She brought giant teeth models and toothbrushes to make her presentation interactive and fun for our BMS angels. We wrapped up the visit with a fun craft, and Dr. Flesher was so kind to bring us some Element Dental goodies as well. Thank you for caring about our shiny teeth and us! ​

VALENTINE'S DAY CELEBRATION - 2023

​Love is in the air at Blossoms Montessori School! We were so delighted to see all of our BMS angels wearing their festive colors. We always spread the love here but Valentines Day has us bursting at the seams! Everyone enjoyed our annual Valentines exchange, it is so wonderful to see the children's faces light up when they receive a card from their friends. CHRISTMAS -2022

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year! ‘Tis the season of fun! December is always a wonderful month at Blossoms. Holiday cheer and good tidings are flowing through our classrooms. All of our students really enjoyed our annual book exchange and pajama party. We also enjoyed our 10 days of Christmas dress up. From ugly sweaters, to reindeer vs elves, everyone showed up in their best dress! Our staff members' faces lit up during their secret santa, and it was a really good way to build a feeling of togetherness.  From our family to yours, we wish you the merriest of holidays.

FALL PARTY - 2022

Trick OR Treat! Fall is here and we must say, we have the cutest pumpkins in the patch! October is such a fun month at school. The most favorite activity is of course our candy exchange, where all students are invited to wear their costumes and bring treats for their friends. Everyone is always so excited to show off their costumes, thank you everyone for your participation. Wishing you all a fun and safe Fall season!

IN-HOUSE FIELD TRIP 2022- Safety

​Stop! Drop! Roll! 
This week to finish up our "Safety" unit we invited one of our parents who is the Chief of our local Fire Department. He and his crew gave our children a wonderful presentation about fire safety. Ponderosa Fire Department brought one of their big, red, firetrucks and our kids enjoyed taking pictures with it. We learned about Stop, Drop, and Roll, and when to call 911. The children really enjoyed getting to see the interior of the Fire Truck and seeing the Fireman's gear. Again, we are so thankful for our parents' involvement in furthering the education of our BMS angels.  

IN-house field trip 2022- America

​Safety First! At Blossoms, we believe in safety first. Towards the end of our "America" unit, we invited our lovely Police Parents to do a presentation at our school. The children were taught about stranger danger, and when and why to call 911. Each child was able to sit in the police car and work the lights and sirens. The Police officers even brought goodies for our children. We are so thankful to have parents who go above and beyond for our students here at Blossoms. 

Father'S DAY CELEBRATION-Dounts with dad 2022

Finally, a day where Dads get the appreciation they deserve! We were so excited to host a Fathers Day event at Blossoms. Our BMS angels worked very hard to prepare for this special day with their dads. They learned songs and practiced every day. They made wonderful Daddy crafts and enjoyed getting to show their friends who their heroes are. We treated Dads with donuts and snacks before presenting them their gifts. Thank you to all the Daddies who came to show support.

in-house field trip of 2022 Agricultural

To kick off our Summer program we finally hosted our first in-house field trip of 2022! We were udderly excited to have Dairy Classroom pay us a visit. Peanut the cow arrived in her trailer and then all of our children learned where our milk comes from. During the presentation Peanut, the cow also was hooked up to a milking machine so we got to see how everything works in real time. The children got to take home coloring books and Dairy personnel were kind enough to give our teachers some lesson plans to further their agricultural studies. This field trip was very educational but everyone's favorite part was hearing Peanut "MOOOOO". We are so excited to have more field trips this summer so stay tuned to see who shows up next. 

Graduation 2022

Blossoms Montessori School class of 2022! This year we have our largest group of graduates leaving and moving on to big kid school. We decided to throw them a special graduation pizza party. Our not-so-little graduates had a blast taking pictures with their friends and celebrating their years of hard work here. We were lucky enough to have our photographer come in and get some cap and gown photos too. We were so happy to present the children with their certificates and give them a party to remember. Congratulations to all of our BMS graduates, we know you’ll do great things.

Teachers in-service day & Teachers appreciation day 2022

We had so much fun at our annual Staff Appreciation Ceremony and Training. Each year we celebrate the appreciation for our teachers that they deserve. During our appreciation our teachers share their experiences regarding classroom materials, presenting lessons, or overall classroom care. This is a great opportunity to learn more about classroom management and always keep our skills developing. Following our presentations, we do a wonderful awards ceremony to specially recognize our teachers and staff who have gone above and beyond this school year. Following our awards, we enjoy games and then a delicious catered lunch. Everyone loves the staff luncheon, it gives us time to socialize and kick our feet up for a few before we begin setting our classrooms for the new school year.

MOTHER'S DAY CELEBRATION - MUFFINS WITH MOM 2022

Let's face it, none of us would be here if it wasn't for our Mothers. Mothers teach us how to love, how to care, and how to know when we're being cared for. And we wanted to show them just how much we care about them. This week at Blossoms we were so thrilled to invite all of our beautiful Mothers to come see our classrooms, meet other moms and even get a peek at their children's favorite lessons. It was such a pleasure to have moms in our classrooms. Inviting our moms in gave them the opportunity to get up close and personal with the Montessori Method and allowed them to engage in conversation with their children about what they do in school. Education in school + Engagement at home helps build a strong foundation for our children. We look forward to more events like this in the future, thank you to all who attended. We wouldn't be here without you!
